1. Who we are

Clara Deeds is a trading name of BALI HOME DESIGNS, SLU, a company registered in the Principality of Andorra under registration number 27593, with its registered office at Carrer Esteve Albert, Edifici La Roureda, Bloc A, 1r Pis, 2a Porta, Santa Coloma, Andorra ("Clara Deeds," "we," "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@claradeeds.com.

Because a Clara Deeds report often involves property title deeds, sale contracts, and other documents that can contain sensitive personal data about you and about others (such as a seller named in a contract), we've written this policy to be specific about what we collect and why, and we align our practices with GDPR-style rights even outside the EU.

2. What we collect

  • Order and contact details: name, email address, property address, and country, provided when you place an order.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by PayPal, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your card number or other full payment credentials — PayPal shares with us only confirmation that payment was made, the amount, and a transaction reference.
  • Documents you send us: the survey, title, zoning, contract, debt-clearance, or other property documents you email to us after payment to complete your order. These may contain personal data about you and about third parties (for example, a seller's name on a sale contract).
  • Communications: any emails or messages you send us, for example to ask about your order.
  • Technical and usage data: standard web analytics (via Google Analytics 4) about how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed and general location at a country/region level.

3. Why we process it

  • To perform our contract with you: processing your order, analyzing your documents, and delivering your report.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping our service secure and working, understanding site usage so we can improve it, and preventing fraud or abuse.
  • Legal obligations: where we're required to keep records, for example for tax or accounting purposes.

We do not sell your personal data or your documents, and we do not use the documents you send us for any purpose beyond preparing your report.

4. Who we share it with

We share data with the service providers who help us run Clara Deeds, each acting under contract and only for the purposes below:

  • PayPal — payment processing. PayPal acts only as our payment processor, not as merchant of record — your purchase contract is with us, not with PayPal.
  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails such as order confirmations and internal notifications. Documents you email us do not pass through Resend — they go directly to our own email inbox.
  • Google Analytics — aggregate website usage analytics.

We also hold accounts with Vercel Blob (file storage) and Neon (a database), built for an earlier, automated document-upload flow. No customer has ever completed an order through that flow, and no customer documents or order records are currently held there.

We do not otherwise share your personal data or documents with third parties, except where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. International transfers

Andorra benefits from an adequacy decision from the European Commission, meaning personal data can flow freely between Andorra and the EU/EEA. Some of the providers listed above may process data in the United States or elsewhere. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data in transit and at rest.

6. How long we keep it

We keep different parts of your data for different periods, depending on why we need them:

  • Documents you send us (survey, title, contract, and any other files): kept for no longer than 120 days after we deliver your report, then deleted — see "Security" below for how.
  • Order records (your name, email, amount paid, and property address): kept for as long as needed to meet our accounting and legal obligations, or to resolve a dispute about an order.

We don't keep your documents any longer than that 120-day window just in case — once it passes, they're deleted.

7. Security

When we receive your documents by email, we save them to a single dedicated folder for your order — named with the date your report is delivered — and delete the original email, including from both mailboxes it reached (hello@claradeeds.com and the address it forwards to) and from Sent and Trash. That leaves one copy of your documents, in one place, rather than several scattered across inboxes.

Once a month, we review these folders and permanently delete any older than 120 days, keeping the promise in "How long we keep it" above.

Access to these folders, and to order records generally, is limited to the small team who needs them to prepare your report.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you generally have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data, subject to our legitimate need to retain order and accounting records;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and
  • lodge a complaint with the Andorran Data Protection Agency (APDA) or, if you're in the EU/EEA, your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@claradeeds.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first, given the sensitivity of property documents.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

10. Children

Clara Deeds is intended for adults arranging their own property purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
